The Hazel Witte Collection comprises several scrapbooks of newsclippings relating to the Methodist Hospital, Gary, 1949-1964. The clippings record activities at the hospital, from special events to treatment of accident victims. The collection also contains a scrapbook on the Northwest District, Indiana State Nurses Association. These records offer useful information on health services, and particularly nursing, in mid-twentieth century northwest Indiana.
