Thomas J. Crump has been involved in Gary politics for several decades, including several terms on the Gary City Council, serving as Calumet Township Trustee, and a run for mayor of Gary in 1983. Mr. Crump has been active in numerous community organizations and agencies. This collection contains information on local politics, the Gary-Chicago Airport, the Gary Educational Development Foundation, Images of Hope, Ivy Tech State College, and the Gary Runnin' Rebels. Several files of personal correspondence are also included. The collection's span the period from 1969 to the present.
